A literary place for the fringe.

Skink Beat Review is in its second year; a labor of love founded for space to the untraditional.

Hybrid and experimental work is a must. We adore when artists include original art. Minimal departure, brevity, turns of phrase that hold us in pause.

A note of honesty and human-ness: we try really hard to publish 4x a year. Pride very much matters to us, so we’ll always shoot for June 25. Horror for October is another love we’ll always shoot for Oct 25. We always mean to publish April 25 and May 25. Sometimes life sucks.

Skink Beat Review is defiantly and cheerfully in opposition to the oppression of women, bipoc, and lqbtq+ persons currently under attack in America.

We dissent.
